Interesting visit to the tower of Vaillo. It is unknown to most of the ilicitanos, despite appearing in tourist brochures. It is a small lookout tower, located in the palm grove whose main attraction is to climb the narrow spiral staircase to access the viewpoint located at the top. The views of Elche are magnificent ... It is a clear example of military architecture. The information panels inside are appreciated. The visit is free. It is worth the visit.

A fantastic place from which to contemplate the magnificent Palm Grove of Elche, Intangible Heritage of Humanity. It would be necessary to improve the information on their situation and should be given greater publicity by the Public Administrations and provide more museum content to the space.

Well ... Well, part of the history of Elche.nWhen I was young I was working in the workshop school in the carpentry module and we were there doing some repairs, we also made the wood finishing of the stairs (mamperlan) that was about 20 years ago, and had not gone back ... Little in the school of my kids did a project on the towers ... they all took pictures of the tower of Pisa and the Ifiel tower ... Things like that more commercial and tourist clear, that's when I remembered the tower of the vaillo , and I told him that my little one, we visited on a Sunday that is when it is open to be able to visit it. And it brought back many good memories of when I was there 20 years ago working. We took photos and searched for information on the Internet.
