Fountain made by the architect Isidro González Velázquez (Madrid, May 15, 1765 - December 7, 1840) and the sculptor Juan Adán Morlán (Tarazona, 1741 - Madrid, 1816). The central sculpture represents the fight between Hercules and the giant Anteus, one of the Twelve Labors of Hercules, at the moment when Hercules defeats the giant by lifting him from the ground, since Anteo was invulnerable in contact with the earth.

The most spectacular of all the gardens in Aranjuez, although unfortunately it must have been without water for 20 or '30 years. Still, totally recommended visit

Beautiful and monumental fountain that gives access to the gardens of the Palace of Aranjuez.

It is more spectacular with water, but from the covid we enjoy this environment for its well-kept flowers and for the pleasant company of the turkeys that live freely by these delicious flower beds. It is the entrance door to the garden of La Isla where one can get lost among its many corners, fountains and sculptures
