A wonderful tour through several periods of prehistory led by very knowledgeable guides. Highly recommended for lovers of paleontology.nThe only caveat: it's technically reachable by public transportation from Madrid (the 194 from Plaza Castilla) but it also takes two hours to get there. Plan accordingly. The excavation site and the in-depth knowledge of the guides make it well worth the trouble.

Very good and interesting visit. Very educational, but if you expect a theme park, it is not your place, it is a cultural visit and you have to like the theme.nThere is a tour of the caves and collapses where the excavations are made and the guide explains a great deal about the Neanderthals.nThen you can spend the rest of the day in the area that is very flat to go with children or people with some difficulty walking. You can eat in the countryside (the environment is very pleasant), or in a nearby restaurant.

A must for restless minds and lovers of prehistory. Visiting these sites by the hand of the archaeologists and paleontologists who are excavating it is a luxury. I predict a very promising future for these sites that are just beginning to show us details of the Neanderthals that until a few years ago seemed unthinkable.
