THE HERMITAGE OF SAN ROQUEnnThe hermitage is located next to a small lagoon about one hundred meters from the Parish Church called the Lavajo.nThis hermitage has suffered numerous problems due to the prolonged duration of its works, whose duration has extended somewhat more than two centuries; until finally it was finished before the summer of 2006, being inaugurated that same year on September 10 (day of the feast of San Roque in Tébar) by the current Bishop of Cuenca D. José María Yanguas.nThe first remains of the hermitage, before its final rehabilitation-reconstruction, date from the end of the 18th century, this being an extension of another previous hermitage; although it is not known why it never came to an end, and of which the cover stands out, with padding and some reliefs of the sun and the moon on the sides.nOn the lintel, within a niche, a stone sculpture of San Roque in the late-Baroque style (it was stolen a few years ago, the current one being a more or less faithful copy of the old one).
