Walls of Valencia, from the time before Jaime I (1238) and their subsequent reuses, until the present 2020. They have a very strong historical-artistic, patrimonial value, they are in a state of almost abandonment, despite being heritage since 1963. They urgently NEED its RESTORATION and its incorporation as a HERITAGE that can be visited (at least from the street) of all the citizens of the city, the Community, the country, Europe, and everyone who visits us .... We have a great heritage WE DO NOT LET IT DISAPPEAR.

a pity the state of neglect in which the Arab wall is. I imagine it will be because it is located between private properties and is difficult to access, but hey, better times will come.

One of the few remains of the old Muslim wall left in the city of Valencia. It is the angel tower, a massive defensive tower 2 meters thick and today converted into a private home.nIts origin dates back to the 11th century during the reign of Abd-Al Aziz Ibn Amir when Valencia was a Muslim Taifa kingdom.nHowever, the state in which the few remains of the Arab wall and the laziness of the Valencian public administrations to preserve and conserve a unique cultural heritage are unfortunate, considering that it is a protected historical monument since 1963.

Its conservation status is a real shame and even more so considering that it was through the door that existed here that the Cid Campeador entered Valencia.
