This church is modern and carries the invocation of Santa María de la Expectación. Currently a good image of the Virgin and Child is preserved.nnIn the year 1752 the parish was governed by the licensed priest Don Sebastián Antonio Gutiérrez Pacheco, curator of the Holy Office of the Inquisition. This parish also served for the Cillero neighborhood.
