The Safari Madrid Park is a short drive outside of Madrid, but worth to visit. There are a lot of different animals, we were especially surprised by the amount of snakes they have in the park (in the reptile building). The drive through is a very unique experience, where you can see wild animals next to your car. I totally recommend to visit this park, which is probably the second best park (after the zoo) in Madrid.

Short drive from Madrid, but worths the visit. This wide open green area, is more than a simple zoo. Back to Nature eye relaxing destination. It provides an interactive experience feeding the animals, that the kids were crazy about! Organized path for the cars to drive through, feeding the animals safely. Labelling the dangerous zones with clear instructions to keep the windows shut. Entry for adults 19€, 15€ for kids. No family package discounts, but 2€ discount for “kart ride” that costs 12€ for double seat car, 7€ for kids. I highly suggest buying some carrot before arriving to feed the animals. You can buy it on the spot, but it will be more expensive. And bring a lot! You will enjoy it! Check the weather before your visit and bring your lunch for picnic meal. Many available wooden tables. Highly recommended for families. I liked it much more than Madrid traditional zoo.

The place was alright. The animals look a bit off though...tigers/lynx can barely move (not sure whether it's caused by old age or by being in the captivity for so long). Either way, it's not very reassuring to see they can barely walk. Goats, zebras, camels can't wait for you to feed them -basically carrots- to let you pass by on car. FYI, it's not an all car ride, so it's quite good if you want to get the kids entertained ;)

I expected for the animals to be in larger enclosures. Many are in cages. Hope their conditions can improve

Nice place to spend a day with the children.
