Yet another example that first I invest in tidying up and providing services to a monument like this, and then I forget that it exists.nThanks to the idlers and their too much free time, the lighting accessible to them has disappeared.nThe castle is as is: exterior walls, good access on foot, not for wheelchairs or baby carriages, you can enter and see some interior apartments but the two remaining buildings are even without a roof.nThe views are beautiful to the Sil and as you go up a steep hill to the castle, you can admire the restored houses of the village where it is located.nWell signposted, there is ample parking before starting the slope to go to the castle.

It is a tower, next to a town that I imagine had a better time. there are many buildings in ruins and in the town we did not see any people when we passed. It is a beautiful area near Quiroga with very beautiful roads. I wish I had more investment of money to maintain everything and that it does not fall into oblivion.

Its current state is in ruins, being a castle from around the twelfth century is a miracle that still stands. He had a series of minimal performances a few years ago. Some sales are still preserved and on the west wall you can see the Maltese Cross, a symbol of the order that ran the castle.

Beautiful piece of history or more gates of the courel. The side of the winter path.nThe penalty is that the Xunta, or the City Council will allow it to be full of weeds and an archaeological excavation will not be carried out in conditions for more valuable chicken. And better put the money in closed social centers. That is the plate that Ben sees. Anyway, the usual ... But for the latter do not stop to see if they take note

It is a pity that a castle and its villages with so much history behind are so abandoned. Going by car is quite an adventure, both due to the state of the soil and the narrowness of the road. This shows the disinterest of all Public bodies: Concello de Quiroga, Lugo County Council, Heritage and Xunta de Galicia. They only use the place for propaganda purposes ....
