A must see in the area. It' s a pity that not enough money was given to the conservation project, but still it is worthy of visiting. Better if you yourself bring some comments about its history in your own language because the panels and videos are only in Galician language- not even in Spanish or any other language!!! This is something that should be corrected, not even in Spain people understand this language.

Nice basically complete 14th century Galician castle. Unfortunately there are only Spanish signs.

The Castle walls & fortifications are well preserved dating back to 14th Century. The interior is pretty barren but was recently updated to encourage more visits. It's location is spectacular in remote countryside near the River Tambre. In Summer its easier to visit as Winter hours appear to be more scarce.
