Not as spectacular as you might think but worth a visit if you have time, Roman amphitheatre is a plus en route stop and some lovely quaint small streets and houses on the walk up. Great views from the top

Amazing and free of charge. But there is no toilet around (( I was there pregnant and absence of toilet caused difficulties

Historic place, full of life for the last 3000 years, you should find someone who tell them to you. Also beautiful sight from here all around the Morvedre area, Calderona mountains and the sea.

Great site to visit, and it’s all totally free. You need to be sure on your feet though as there is a lot of gravel and uneven footings. But you could just stay on the even ground and admire the views. There is obviously still a lot of preservation work to do here, so I think this is ongoing. On the way down I also discovered you can also go in the Roman amphitheater too (where they have a public loo yey) which has all been rebuilt and is all also free to enter.

This castle is so large and impressive, almost like a giant dragon resting on a hill. I’ve read that it’s not so well preserved but in fact its non-tourist look adds a lot to the atmosphere.nThe history of the castle is impressivenThe entrance is free, but they give you the tickets anyway. The roman forum is also a must-see
