Trekking Largos Pasos (11/22/2019)
The building, with two floors and basement, has an interior structure based on squares and rectangles that surround the central part. On the ground floor there is a surface dedicated to the lobby, with a large distributor in the center and a wide staircase that opens in two arms to access the top, giving rise to two square spaces on both sides. In the upper center of the stairs there is a very large landing that serves as a passage to the two lateral wings and access to a lobby before the Noble Hall, which occupies the center of the building.nnThe facade is the combination of several styles, with an entrance type Arc de Triomphe, with three doors with semicircular arches, made with the placement of half columns of Ionic style, with striated shafts and classical base. In the upper part there is a balcony that, in the form of a cornice, runs through the building; perpendicular to the four lower columns are four others that give frame to the three doors of the Noble Hall that exit to the balcony. Three skylights, over its three doors, will cover the space between them and the opening of the pediment that crowns the facade, in whose center is the provincial shield.nnIn order not to gather all the elements in the central part, the facade is divided into five bodies: the central one, two medium and two lateral ones. Trying to gain the balance of volumes, the central body and the two lateral ones stand out over the medium ones. The lateral ones end with circular bodies and in their upper windows striated pilasters of Ionic order are placed, with which it is possible to balance the whole of the facade.nnThe whole building ends in a slightly ledge shaped ledge with gutter decoration. The base of the building rises to a good height that allows a wide staircase run throughout the central body.nnThe rear façade, although of a lower category, is very careful and as a whole has a greater horizontality due to the slight fall of the building backwards; The same conjunction was also performed in five bodies, among which the central and lateral ones stand out over their medians.nnIn the porch, on its ground floor, there are no columns and the three doors are reduced to a central with two large niches on both sides. In its upper part there is another balcony for the three doors that lead to it, framed in pilasters of Ionic style and, on them, a simple pediment with geometric decoration. The upper windows end in semicircles and the lower ones are knurled, with scallop shell decoration. It has a staircase to the central body of much smaller size than that of the main facade.nnThe lateral facades have a parameter of smooth masonry in which the lateral ends made with vertical cushioning bands stand out. The upper windows finish in triangular pediments and the lower ones, lintered, with scallop shell finish. As in the main façade, the upper sides end in semicircular cornices.nnAmong the materials used, the stone occupies the largest volume: fine granite from the Tourón quarries, fine and hard granite from the Ulloa quarries and granite from the country. For the mortars, fat lime and mine sand were used, with a proportion of two sand and one lime. Plaster plaster was used in the decorations, iron in skylights and attics, lead and zinc in skylights and downspouts and Marseille flat roof tiles.nnIn the carpentry we used pinotea for the floor; board, bar and lime cover for partitions; chestnut for exterior doors and windows, and pinchas for interiors.
