At the end of the 18th century, the old plaza de los talanqueras, called Plaza de los Guardas, was located here, where country parties were celebrated where aristocrats led by famous bullfighters of the time fought. He also made rest for the bulls that would later be crippled in Madrid.

Located right at the park entrance, it passes easily disappeared. At the time when El Capricho was built, bullfighting was very fashionable and it was one of the main amusements, also for the nobility, so it could not be missing in a place created precisely to enjoy.
