Best train station in Ethiopia next from Dire Dawa. But this is the place were far from Addis Abeba City. When I exit from train station, there is costly transport fee. Just Fifty Ethiopian Birr(50 ETB).except that its beautiful place ever

The trains are comfortable and affordable. Overall good ride. Friendly staff , armed federal security on-board at all times. But if you have a tight schedule you may want to drive or fly or leave in advance of an appointment. On 2 occasions there were long delays one due to cattle on the tracks. And the other was out of the railway control. Pack a good lunch as you can only get packaged snacks and coffee from the dinning car. Toilets are on the train and clean but bring your own toiletries and soap . I had fun and enjoyed the ride. Bringing extras like music and movies, food I like made my 12 hour plus ride enjoyable.

This place does not feel like Ethiopia starting from the architecture & hospitality. We are told we can not inter to the hall without ticket which is available on the next door on the same corridor with 308 Ethiopian Birr closer to 12$. This is very good to travel for me from Addis Ababa to Dire Dawa which is more safe and cheaper than driving. The management looks like we are in chaina because of the uniform of the workers and there discipline. After all I feel the international standard. It worth 5 stars.
