The most impressive thing is not the church itself, but the celebration of Saint Gabriel's Day. In the Gregorian calendar it would be December 28, in the Julian it falls to September 29. Thousands of people go to the church located in the city of Bahir Dar from hundreds of kilometers in white robes to attend the celebrations.
