Maryam Korkor

Not only do Maryam Korkor and Daniel Korkor offer the best all-around experiences for everyone—featuring an impressive hike.

It's recommended to have a bottle of water and a hat for those who travel in sunny conditions or travel there in the afternoon.

Beautiful hiking path to the top layer of the mountain that gives enough time to observe grand landscape of rock erosion in this part of the desert. The landscape is similar to love valley of goreme in Turkey and it might have taken millions of years of hard work to form these towers. This church along with Daniel are behind each other of the same mountain. Entry ticket is 300 birr for both churches and it contains some paintings which are fading away slowly.

Great view, smart Architectural heritage and religious place. There is no toilet, food or bottle water to buy so it's better to go prepared. The toilet it because it is a religious place and the principle of the design do not allow so. But the best place to see. I highly recommend!

If you would like to expreance church ceremony, visiting Sunday morning would be the best time of the week. Abuna Yemata church, Mariam and Danial Korkor Churches are in a very close proximity so if you are are around it's worth to visit them all.
