Keranio Medaniyalem Church is one of historical church in Ethiopia. It is the first Addis Ababa Orthodox Church built by king Sahle Selase in the 19th century (1833) Most will say Kidus Raguel Church located on Entoto Hills is the oldest church in Addis Ababa founded by Emperor Menelik II but this is because in 1833 Addis Ababa was not found, Addis Ababa was chosen by Empress Taytu and was founded in 1886 by Emperor Menelik II. Currently it is 186 years old church.
