Mena Hotel

This place is one of my favourite place in addis..... I have stayed there for three consecutive days I loved all there traditional cuisines, I have been served well with excellent ethiopian hospitality.

Great place to have good time while having a delicious traditional ethiopian cuisine. Its location is clean and beautiful.

I stayed in Mena Hotel in Addis for ten days biggest problem was water every few days the taps will run dry. There was one hotel manager and the reception very rude. The other stuff we're OK. I stayed in room # 7 nice room big windows but the bathroom had no lights for few days. My sister was coming Addis so I booked the room for her and I moved to room # 8. I picked her from the airport brought her to the hotel. Surprisingly the receptionist rented the room to someone else. I asked my sister to stay in my room # 8. After speaking with manage I was told to wait for 20 minutes while the room issue was looked into. After half an hour we got the room # 7 back. My sister moved in. Few minutes later she knocked on my door room # 8. Complaining that she wanted to have shower but they is no water. I looked for the manager he ask me again wait for 20 minutes. I was so stressed went outside to have a cigarette I saw the water truck delivering water. This happens very frequent I don't know why they don't check the water level before the customers complain. The other problem is mosquitoes at nights I couldn't sleep the last night I was there. The rooms are 500 birr with washroom and bath inside the ones without 400 birr. My sister left town I moved to Athina Guest House renting from 340 birr a night. The stuff we're really welcoming.
