Sapphire Addis Hotel

I came to the hotel with the hopes of booking the reception hall and room for my wedding scheduled for January. We came multiple times and were happy with the arrangements, price, and service. It seemed like a slam dunk until we met with the "Marketing Manager". I have no idea how she attained that position because it seemed as though her job was to provide horrible customer service and help run this place to the ground. Her name is Tigist. She made disdainful comments such as, "well if you don't book the room/reception, I'm sure someone else will", "If you don't pay then you're not a customer. You're not a customer until you pay" Such comments are disgusting to make to someone who will potentially pay thousands of dollars to the hotel. Because of her I will not be booking the wedding at this hotel and will find somewhere else to go.

I quarantined at Sapphire for 7 days, and their service was the worst I’ve experienced in my whole life. The room was dirty with stains on the bed. Also, I found cockroaches in my room. What broke the camels back was when I witnessed “water” trucks delivering water to the hotel. I have witnessed such water delivering trucks get access to water from pot holes found through out the city. No wonder I was itching after taking shower. After seeing the water trucks, I immediately stopped taking shower and eating from the hotel, expect bread. Also, the rooms are cold without any heater. All in all, this is not a hotel. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from this hotel. I strongly suggest that the responsible government office to take a look at the hotel.
