Best place I found to hang out at in the hotel district. Good food, friendly people and great ambiance.

I wanted to go to another place, but I passed by and became curious. I went up and discovered a nice lounge bar. I decided to stay and have a meal. The very nice and professional barmaid suggested me a dish which was very tasty. Music, meal, atmosphere were great. Beautiful people and a real lounge atmosphere. It's not the cheapest place in Addis, but compared to European standards a good deal. Go there from 8 to 10pm and you will have a nice time. Only thing, apparently they don't have a menu of drinks, and you don't really know how much you will pay if you don't ask, which I didn't. But don't worry, I didn't get overcharged. Good place to hang out before going clubbing

Security and personal warning!!!!! We went to restaurant two times with my girlfriend (she is Saudi but Ethiopian roots so she looks Ethiopian). First day we had dinner and my gf went out to call. Believe it or not but security guy followed her and wanted to hit on her. She shouted and came to restaurant. We ignored the situation. The day after we had fun with drinks and the same guy came having an issue my gf dancing. He thought she was Ethiopian (they never believe when we say she's not) and had issue from previous day. He grabbed her by hand and wanted to force her out. She shouted and I shouted and we had fight there. When he realized we are together for real (after 10 attempts) he only started saying "No problem no problem". The fight was so big that owner was involved and we managed to come things down somehow. Be watchful about your gf, be watchful about security guys and country in general. They don't understand basic concept of respect for woman, they will grope if possible without hesitation. You are not in European territory there is no law.
