Great place with breathtaking views and friendly staff. They do grow vegetables from own garden and the food was great by far we have had in Ethiopia. The sunset bar was just perfect with beautiful views of the mountaims, valley and the countryside villages. I strongly recommend Sora lodge to anyone traveling to Lalibela. Five stars:)

Nice lodge overlooking a cliff, providing great views (specially from the sunset bar!). Rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. There's free wifi throughout the lodge. Payment by credit card is also accepted.

Love the place. It's quiet and very relaxing. Rooms with balcony/terrace overlooking the mountains. All staff are friendly and very attentive.

Loved it loved it loved it! Excellent view, great customer service and most importantly at a walking distance from a world heritage, #Lalibela

This hotel is not worth the price. The rooms are great mainly because of decor and views however we stayed here 4 days and would never advice anyone to do so. Many hotels in Lalibela offer similar views. The bed sheets were not that clean. They had stains. My bath towel was torn. There is no staff after 10 pm so if you have issues you will not have it resolved until the next day. We had mosquitoes in our room. After installing a mosquito net, at 3 am we still couldn’t sleep because they buzzed around our heads. The window over the door has no curtain so light pours into the room. People can even look into your room. The curtains are not black out. They are thin linen. So you will have light in your room all night. The shower is amazing but it floods. They have a guide network that seems to be the most expensive and inflexible. They will always charge you a day rate even if you want half day tours. Just go to the ticket office and you will find cheaper guides who are more willing to adjust to your travel requirements. Prices for the churches changed and they do not have this info through their precious network. It appears they have become complacent with current tourist demand for staying here.
