Zan-Seyoum Hotel Lalibela

Lovely clean,comfortable family-run hotel; Johannes, his family and staff all went out of their way to ensure our comfort. Our rooms were impeccably clean, at the time of our visit (February) absolutely no insects of any sort. The food was simple and good- many items freshly prepared. Loved the breakfast pancakes with honey! N.B If driving Google maps WRONG Maps Me accurate.Ermias, guide,was knowledgeable and most kindly helped a slightly doddery older visitor! He also is a keen birdwatcher

Hotel is basic but clean. Breakfast is very basic. If you like to just stay for a night for sleep, would be economical budget 3 star hotel. There is not much around area. We were not happy because GAdventure originally, plan to stay at Sora lodge or equivalent but swapped to this hotel. This hotel is not same quality as Sora lodge. We visited Sora lodge and seen beautiful view from sunset bar and garden. We did not see the standard room but seen a few other rooms. They are much nicer. Although as isolated as Zan-Seyoum but at least they have nice restaurants and other restaurants near by, too.

Accommodation is excellent. Food is not bad

In my last trips to Lalibela I've stayed in this hotel, not only because it is well above the average of the hotel facilities of the place, also because the owners are endearing, they care about their guests and their stay. A year ago, Ethiopian Airlines lost my luggage and I arrived nope suitcases from Adis Ababa, thanks to them it was much easier and I was able to recover it even though I was already in Bahar Dar. It was incredible. Apart from that, rooms are bright, spacious and very comfy. Breakfasts and meals, also the picnics when I was in Makinah and other nearby places, available and without problems, adapt to your needs and offer you the best option every day. Of absolute confidence and highly recommended. En mis últimos viajes a Lalibela me he quedado en este hotel, no solamente porque está muy por encima de la media de las instalaciones hoteleras del lugar, también porque los propietarios son entrañables, se preocupan de sus huéspedes y de su estancia. Hace un año perdieron mi equipaje los de Ethiopian Airlines y llegué sin maleta desde Adis Abeba, gracias a ellos fue todo mucho más fácil y pude recuperarla aunque ya andaba por Bahar Dar. Fue increible. Aparte de eso, las habitaciones son luminosas, espaciosas y muy ordenadas. Los desayunos y comidas, también los picnics cuando estuve por Makinah y otros lugares cercanos, disponibles y sin problemas, se adaptan a tus necesidades y te ofrecen la mejor opción cada día. De absoluta confianza y muy recomendable.

The hotel was nice and clean, the staff was friendly and super helpful. I definitely recommend!
