AWFUL !! it was the worst hotel we stayed in on a 15 day tour of Ethiopia. We stayed there for two nights at the beginning of March 2019. In addition to the rooms with poor services, from the broken bathroom and no hot water, to the deafening noises due to the lack of soundproofing, an unpleasant incident occurred to say the least. On the first morning, our guide left his cell phone unattended for a few minutes on the arm of the armchair in the hotel lobby: it was stolen. At that moment in the lobby, besides us, only the hotel employees were present. He requested to be able to view the cameras but was told that they were not in operation. In fairness to us, he continued the tour of Harar. In the evening, using the GPS tracker, he traced the position of the phone which was inside the hotel (it was moving as if it were inside a pocket). After having threatened to call the police, the manager finally calls the staff: at that moment the phone shows no signs of movement. The person who stole it before going down to the hall probably supported it without taking it with him. Nothing is done by the perpetrators other than asking not to file a complaint because, according to them, the phone would have turned up. Result? Obviously not, and it was obvious that it was inside the hotel! A theft can happen but it is inadmissible to happen by the staff of the facility where you are staying !! I also point out the poor service: breakfast consisted of jam (little or no) and to get a coffee it took more than twenty minutes (we were two in the breakfast room). Unfriendly and inefficient staff.
