Family Cozy Bed and Breakfast

It’s okay place to visit, mb a bit overpriced. But the owner is really kind guy, who can call you for all things in Addis.

I have been traveling for almost 18 months around the world, so basically I have been in many accommodations from basic hostels to luxury hotels, but I have never seen place like the one owned by Micky. He is great host who will give you all his time, and make you feel at home. I stayed there the first time I arrived to Addis Ababa. I was planning to stay at Family cozy only 3 night I ended up staying for 10 days the first time. The family are so welcoming without forgetting that they invited me so many times to share meals with them. After traveling around south Ethiopia I came back without any hesitation to spend another month with Michael. I forgot to mention that he woke up around 3:30 am on weekend to preach breakfast and he even called taxi and paid for it (he did twice first time to bus station and the airport). I read some reviews here about some guests who didn’t found their stuff and it’s kinda weird as I make videos on YouTube and I’m traveling with expensive gears (Dslr, GoPro, Dji drone, MacBook,...) all the time. while I was so confident like I am in my own home. So that’s why I will do you a favor and save your time , in case you’re in Addis Ababa, just book your stay there with that affordable price and I’m sure you won’t find it anywhere around. No other words can describe my stay here, I left my family back home but I found another one here 🙏.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel, however it is perfect for the price. The owner is absolutely great, and helpful. The beds are comfortable, rooms are clean and toilets are adequate. The showers actually have warm water. The kitchen area does its job and there is a very nice restaurant right across the road. Ps: don't forget to bring your own toilet paper

I think it's important to educate people on reviews. I'm giving Micheal 5 stars because the value/price and outstanding hospitality we received is above expectation. Micheal place is not the Sheraton but before booking, I checked the prices on Google for this save neighborhood and everything was minimum double the price. I travel for the experience and not to post on Instagram. Again value price is perfect! Thanks Michael and see you next time

Michael, the owner, might come across as a nice guy at first. Sadly after arriving back in the hotel after a day in Addis me and my friends found out that we got robbed. Only after the owner promised in words and on paper to pay us back we agreed to drop the appeal. In the end he did not follow up on his promises at all and even employed a lawyer. AVOID this place at all cost for it could ruin just your holiday...
