Kokholo Yohannes

Rich in old BRANA Books and other artifacts, Kokholo Yohannes is an old Ethiopian Orthodox church. It was inside the hill behind the current church before it was moved recently into a more convenienet place for believers. The old seat of the ark is now closer with access limited to permissions from the church. Kokholo Yohannes has a spring water coming out of the plateau east of the chruch. This water serves ar drinking water to the local people around the church. The church is evergreen due to this water. Kokholo Yohannes' annual celebration falls on Meskerem 1 in Geez every year. Close to this church is another church west of it with holy water.
