Great place for sleeping, no acoustical problems around

I stayed here for one night in two different rooms and it’s a nice looking hotel. First room was spacious, but shower was not great (no pressure), and since one the windows wouldn’t close (cold, noisy and mosquitos), I moved to another room: smaller with great shower and toilet that wouldn’t flush. Curtains are not really keeping lights out, mosquito net would be great (there were mosquitos in the room), beds were a bit hard but with good pillows. People at reception are very friendly and helpful and speak enough English. I could leave my luggage without any problems during my tour. It’s a bit away from the center but very walkable. Single room was 500 Birr.

Had a very good stay. True, the rooms are not perfect (the shower pressure is a bit low, and the rooms aren’t exactly pretty) but this is Mekele, not Miami: it’s a very fair value for what you get. I recommend going there in person - online it is 20USD but at the door it is 400birr. I don’t understand the comments that say it is not well located - It’s in the centre of Mekele (and Mekele, in any event, is a bit of a sprawl) and close enough to the bus station. The staff was incredibly helpful. They drove me to the bus station and got me in the right bus. Would stay again.

It was nice place defiantly recommend it.
