Disgusting! Bed bugs in the bed! horrible service! stay away! 1. there were no hot water in the shower. 2. we went to sleep around 23:00, at 02:00 we woke up, felt something is walking on us... there were BED BUGS inside the bed!!! not few... a lot!!! a whole community of black huge bed bugs were apparently residents in the bed we slept on. There was nobody in the reception, thus we took plastic chairs from the hall outside the room and set on it for the rest of the night. At the morning we asked to speak with the manager, and the reaction was "sorry", the kind of sorry that tries to get rid of us. when we asked for a make up, some kind of discount (because we haven't slept all night) the manager suddenly became really aggressive, and even told us that if we'll try to come again to sleep there he will require us to pay 50$.

Came back exhausted from the danakil tour and was greeted by rank toilet smells the second I entered the double room. There is no generator, unlike other establishments which were ready for such occurences, so when there are power outages there is no power. To top it off, during the night there was a party right across the street which despite the receptions promises, did not end until around 2-3 am. No discount or other compensation offered, and no relocation to another room (they claimed the hotel was fully booked yet I hardly saw anyone here). All in all one of the worst places to stay, avoid at all costs

I have a very mixed feeling about this place. I liked that its clean and new, however the rooms facing the yard, with access to the daylight are much better than the ones "hidden" in the corner. Staff is very helpful, they helped me finding a laundry service and they picked my laundry up for me when I was away. The water is hot, the wifi works on the ground floor, I think they have a generator. The location is good and the yard is green. What I didnt like is that they tried to charge us the double price listed online because we looked "rich". The worst thing was that they declined to rent a double room to two Israeli girls, friends we met in Dallol, because they don't support homosexuality. Girls were friends, but even if they were a couple, that's none of the guesthouse's business. Of course the girls were charged for two single rooms, twice as much as they would pay for a double. For these two things I take away two points.
