a very historical place in the northern side of the country. Atse Yohannes 4th was a great king and most of all very orthodox Christian. His palace is kept in a good care and the historical treasures are in a good condition.
I have visited the museum with my friends. Its a great place to learn the history of Ethiopia and Atse Yohannes era. The place looks fantastic.
Hatsey Tohannes IV was very interesting, historic, orthodox church, preferable to visit such wonderful place. The king served for Ethiopian unity.
Emperor Yohannes' palace takes you back in time. I was amazed to know how the King's diplomacy with Europe was assertive and effective.
Is one of the most important museums in Northern Ethiopia. It hosted one of the biggest royal throne in Africa. It is placed on the second floor. The museum also used to keep important church 18th and 19th century paintings church recovered from Europe. To the disappointment of tourists, the collection is not at the museum any more. These important collections are at the Tigray Regional State bureau of Culture and tourism.
