السلام عليكم (06/19/2020)
Photographs of TPLF martyrs, books and other historical articrafts mostly pertaining to the armed struggle the people of Tigray waged against The Mengistu Hailemariam / Derg regime from 1975-1991.

The monument is for the martyrs of the revolutionary fighters of the EPRDF. It is built on a very large square of land. It has a museum, a monument and a Hall. It has also a wide open garden with good scenery. The monument is built at hilltop of the town and is a famous landmark. The museum has documented the history of the struggle dividing it in to phases. Almost all of the pictures, objects and articles are captioned in local language, Amharic and English. I arrived 2 hours before the closing and rushed to visit all of the place while trying to read the captions. The customer's charter at the entrance clearly indicates that customers are privileged to have a guide in their tour and employees are also seen here and there in the museum but to no avail. Another interesting sculpture erected at the place is a famous 'Sandal' wore by the then fighters. It would have been great if one could buy a booklet or a CD that document summary of the story being told at the museum.
