Diamond Hotel Addis

The hotel is great and clean but, the staffs doesn't have a clue of customer service at all which multiplies all by zero. They are disrespectful. TBS one of their staff(guard) laughed at me because i gave him a comment.

The most unsanitary hotel. The room had a disgusting smell from the outset and we had to leave immediately. The roof was leaky, the pillows had a stain(even though we just checked in) and the bathroom is poorly finished. It's a waste of a very ideal location. Poorly managed. Dont book it nor pay for it.

At first, I like the service and hospitality. The staff are friendly. The prices are good. I am there everyday in the reception to use Wi-Fi and order my food or snacks, or coffee. The place is set in a good location which is good for travelers and first time comers to Addis Ababa. The Wi-Fi is terrible. It is slow and disconnects regularly. There is one waitress young guy, not sure but I think his name starts with M, who works in there. He is very good, smiles, and serves with pleasure, which made my experience delightful. There was one guy, a customer, who forgot his laptop charger and the next day he came looking for it, the waitress kept it safely and returned it back to the guy. It shows how trusted the waitress is. Plus, I had broken my portable socket outlet and the waitress kept searching one for me and also a middle aged woman who was a cleaner she was too searching for me. I really appreciated how they were trying to help me. The hotel should reward such employees for their effort because they are the ones who attract customers and make the place reputable. But I had one negative experience which is I was working on my laptop and a Middle aged guy who seems the one who bosses the waitress there, came and pulled away the table under me with my laptop on it, and I was just stunned there sitting speechless. He took my laptop and put it on a lower small table and pushed it to me. It was low. I said but this is low, he said to me, "Well, we are working here and trying to get money." First, the place was empty. Me and one other woman and a man were only there. He took my table and put it in some other corner with extra chairs. I was just so upset with this man behaviour. I am a CUSTOMER. He spoke in a very, very, very rude way and very, very, very disrespectful. I noticed he always looks at me in a strange way whenever he passes by. And also when we asked him for another coffee he said he is not the waitress. But then I saw him serving a table with drinks. I got the impression that he discriminates customers based on looks or maybe money, those who look a pocket full of money. I was terribly upset by his demeanor and also he said to me if you don't like it go sit and share table with someone else. I have never witnessed such rudeness in my life. He never said excuse me, sorry, or may I, just nothing. I think this guy needs to learn a one or two from the waitress and cleaner. He ruined my experience.
