I went there asking for advice on a bottle of peated whiskey, for a gift. The merchant offers me 3 bottles. By asking him a simple question, I realize that he does not necessarily know a lot about whiskey, (and that he is not very pleasant), which is not a problem in itself; I think that the sign Nicolas provides general advice and that it will do the trick, otherwise he would not have advised me in this way. I take one of the 3. When I get home, I prefer to check if the whiskey (Arran Malt 10 years) is well peated. Well not at all, it may have peaty notes, but is not considered so. I check on specialized sites, and of the 3 that he advised me, only 1 corresponds to my request (Ardberg Ten). Fortunately I checked, otherwise it would have been a bit bad for a peat lover when it comes time to taste ... I return to the store for exchange. The merchant has not the slightest word of apology, he takes it back, sells me another one that I choose this time. I inform him that also one of the others was not peaty among his advice, he does not really care and does not answer me. First and last purchase from this Nicolas. Giving advice when you don't know anything is to have no consideration for your clients. It is not a problem not to know all the alcohols, on the contrary :-), but you have to take responsibility and learn to meet the demand rather than reciting your lessons. Not apologizing for your mistakes and the consequences is totally looking down on customers.
