Maison Albert Schweitzer

I actually enjoyed learning more about Albert Schweitzer very much. You have to be a fan about history, even better if you're a fan of Schweitzer of course. It's a 3 room tour and our tour guide was extremely nice and knowledgeable.

Boring

The museum has been enlarged and modernized and has nevertheless remained as close as possible to the truth of Doctor Schweitzer. Our archivist guide introduced us to the life of this very great man with a lot of humanity. It's a beautiful place to feel ... very small in front of such a big man. To discover or rediscover absolutely! well done

We recently reviewed this museum. Before the renovations, it was already very interesting to visit it. It has now become a pure wonder! There is something for all tastes and all ages: Africa and the striking beauty of African art, the Lambaréné hospital, its organization, the progress of medicine, life in Gunsbach in Albert's time. Schweitzer, his passion for music, the extraordinary personalities with whom he was in contact, his correspondence, the subjects which were close to his heart,… The museography was thought out with passion and intelligence. Everything is presented in a modern, attractive, diverse, fun way. We do not see the time pass! A new pearl in the Munster valley!
