Georges Bemberg’s Foundation — Hotel of Assézat

A very private, exclusive collection of amazing works by known artists. It's not a typical museum, each room has elaborate furnishings and extravagant paintings. There are two floors, the top looking more like an actual museum (empty rooms with paintings). There's also a little passage outside that leads you to the second floor but you can enjoy the view before you move on. I don't remember how much it cost me but it was quite cheap for a student, and even if the museum is small it's worth taking an hour or two to appreciate how unique it is.

Beautiful place, lots to see. Pity I couldn't play with the giant chess pieces. Maybe next time.

surprisingly rich collection with big names too. Some nice clocks and instruments. A hidden gem.

There were a lot of French late-impressionist paintings which I loved very much.
