Excellent club and coaches are very invested. The conditions are ideal to do this sport. Thank you to them

Bad sportsmanship, club focused only on competition and relationships (well, that, in Soissons, we are used to - only the piston works). The babygym coach we had at the start of the year (before leaving the club) could not bear that we stray a bit from the course so that our daughter did a trampoline without disturbing the rest of the group. It's babygym: the children are there to discover, ideally in free movement (again, in Soissons, you shouldn't ask too much, the manners are not very "open"). Last year was much better, more freedom and parents were allowed. Since then, they have done work and everything is closed, the parents cannot even see their offspring. It is very sectarian and in any case, the objective of Soissons is not the discovery and the well-being / physical and cognitive development of the child but the competition and still the competition - even to destroy the self-confidence of children, when it does not disrupt their physical development even if they will (probably) never go to the Olympic Games. I am very disappointed and all the more that it is difficult to find sports activities for children when you just want leisure and fairplay.

Hello, I attended today the Picardy championship of women's gymnastics. The Soissons team won in the category Benjamines / Minimes (children born between 2002 and 2005). But at what cost ? The club of Soissons appealed to two young Italian girls to ensure victory. If these girls resided in Picardy, it would be legitimate for them to train in a Picard club and represent them at the various competitions. What I think is a problem is that they make only brief appearances in Picardy, they live in Italy, train in Italy, come with their Italian coach for the competitions and leave immediately at home. I imagine that such practices are tolerated by the FFG, but is it really ethical? Today, the Saint-Quentin club deserved to win (and I specify that I am not supporter of this club), but he finished 2nd. So I had to explain to my 10-year-old daughter that it was not the most deserving club that had won but the one with the most means and the least scruple. By this email, I want to remind you that through sport, we educate our children to citizenship. The pedagogical approach used by sports coaches will help to make our children citizens who we can be proud of. Sport is a tool that depends on the intention that animates the hand that uses it. As money becomes ubiquitous in sport, it often makes us forget that sport must first and foremost provide pleasure and joy. If all the clubs had the bad idea to use the same practices as the Soissonnaise, the young gymnasts picardes would not have any more access to the platforms of competitions and we would attend international competitions. Is that what we want? Are not values more important than victories? And can we really be proud of a victory won by girls who have nothing to do with Soissons? As in everyday life, sport conveys several values: tolerance, respect, honesty, honor, courage ... but also team spirit, solidarity, cooperation. But a team (since it was a team competition) is not a machine: it lives on the contrary of its history (results, process leading to the result, interpersonal relations, etc ...) which enriches or impoverishes, but in any case transforms it. A team exists because it is made up of people who gave birth to it. The Soissons Gymnastics Club should not forget these fundamental principles. I hope with all my heart that, like me, the city of soissons and the various actors of the associative life condemn these practices and support the fundamental values of the sport. cordially Mrs Magnier
