Restaurant L'Affiné

Loved it! The food, the staff and the ambiance were excellent. And reasonable too! Highly recommended.

Our favourite wine bar in Tours (the Cave à Vins on the opposite side; the staff literally runs from the one to the other) also has a restaurant. Big focus on cheese, with open faced, fresh grilled breads, gratins (recommended), many cheese platters (to share) and more. Well prepared, low prices and, of course, great wines. The atmosphere is comfortable (although the chairs outside aren't that so much) and fun, but still with the focus of tasty products. Highly recommended!

Nice drinks casual wear nice staff

Being cheese lovers, we had to try L'Affiné. Their menu is full of cheesy options, from cheese plates to a variety of gratins. The service was good, despite the language barrier (we don't speak much French). Always had water at the table, which is not uniformly true of restaurants in Tours. When our cheese plates came out, someone who spoke English came by to explain what was on our plates. The cheeses spanned a wide range of funkiness from mild and milky to the harshest cheeses I have ever eaten. Also included was the best hunk of butter I've ever tasted in my life. Definitely an experience I would recommend.

The perfect place for cheese lovers. This restaurant has never disappointed me.
