My daughter and i really really enjoyed l'odyssee, so much so we had to go three days running, so much so I was unable to drag her into Paris city. Very easy to find, next to a big supermarket maul, to the north west of the town. I can't really find anywhere like it in the UK. The UK seems to have 'themed' pools usually around jungles....this is more utilitarian, than having frilly frothy pirates which I much preferred. There are four indoor pools, here, (one is a Olympic sized pool with lanes and starter boxes, which you can use, novel for us). The pools have all been carefully thought through. There are outdoor pools/slides as well with a wave machine, but everyday we went it was too cold outside - even summer. They also have the ubiquitous screw cork tunnel. The pools are gigantic (I think it's the largest in Europe?). They are made from welded squares of steel plates, giving it a great steam punk kind of feel. I so wish we had something like this in Britain (the closest weve been to is Tralee in South Ireland, this was so much bigger, but with the wave machine unfortunately, outside), it's shiny and beautifully done (absolutely no rough edges because of the welding). Pools for everyone!! My daughter, spent most time in the lazy stream, which goes from the inside to the outside following a procession of people doing handstands and cartwheels! Four things I'd recommend. Your wallet (it was on the extensive side - but once you are in you are in and free to use whatever, even the bouncy castle. Secondly, if you forget your swimming trunks, don't buy them from the kiosk upstairs, they are more expensive than the entrance fee. Wait until you get downstairs, where there is a vending machine that sells everything and every size you need. Goggles as well. Thirdly, this is France! Many of the families pack picnics and do the day! Lastly the tiles are slippy, and the outside is is oh ah painful on the feet. Take flip flops, large towels (it can be cold outside) and another towel/blanket to lie on. There are also places to buy food (we went to the maul) and a baguette vending machine (we didn't try). Lastly, it's open until quite late - 8, but don't quote me on this. Lastly lastly, it does get full but didn't feel overfull, and how can I put this, lots of locals hardly any English...

They are rude people....I heard french people are loveable but not here ( look like racist).I came from UK for my holiday and am staying in paris with family. 100 km drive to play with my children unfortunately they refuse to allow us into water because our clothing was not suitable but these swim wear were allowed in other area in Paris...we do not recommend this place for other nationality people .

Great place to swim, ice skate, workout, especially in the summertime with the outdoor wave generator. Wonderful for a day with the family! Research and avoid peak days if possible, it gets quite crowded at times.
