Chain D'or - Les Andelys

I walked into the restaurant in SERIOUS need of a rest room. When I did not see anyone at the reception desk I saw the W/C near the door. As I was heading for the W/C door I was yelled at by an employee who told me that I could NOT use their toilet but that I had to walk several blocks to a public facility. When I told him I was desperate he said "NO, you cannot use our restroom!" This was my first, and only, experience with hostile French hospitality. Based on this hostility I would not stay, or eat, here.

Nice place for a lunch after a walk along the river Seine. Great food. Hectic service.
