I came back from South Africa. Self-tour trip organized by Austral Escape. Directions: 15/09: Cape Town 16/09: Cape Town 17/09: Cape Town 18/09: Stellenbosch 19/09: Hermanus 20/09: Hermanus 9/21: Oudtshoorn 22/09: Wilderness 23/09: Wilderness 24/09: Plettenbers 25/09: Plettenberg 26/09: Port Elizabeth 27/09: Port Elizabeth and Addo Elepehant Park 28/09: Port Elizabeth We left with our 2 choupettes (soon 2 years for one and 6 months for the other). We missed the Kruger Park because we wanted to avoid malaria. On the route: Perfect. Each step allowed us to find activities for the bigger one. Family-friendly and well located housing. In Cape Town: tour of the Peninsula (thanks to Austral Escape for the route), Table Mountain, Penguins. We have zapped Robben Island and the museums in relation to the kids. Stellenbosch: city walk (beautiful) and restaurant in the vineyards Hermanus: whales and walk Oudtshoorn: Ostriches. Wilderness: Rest and beach (but not bathing because water too cold in September) Plettenberg: Sanctuaries (monkeys, birds, predators) recommended by the travel agency Port Elizabeth: Penguins (we never tire of it) and safaris On Southern Escape: Productive exchanges. Easily accessible. Listening. Very good tips for activities and restaurants. Accurate travel diary and good addresses. Choice of perfect accommodations. There are many homes in each city. We met some French people who had badly fallen level accommodation (I did not ask with which agency they left). We were awesome! Ok car with baby seat and child (we opted for an SUV, more expensive but more spacious). South Africa is a beautiful country. We will return when the choupettes will be bigger for safaris. You can go with your children. Escape Austral had reassured us on the subject: the country has very good infrastructures and pharmacies in all cities. We did not have any problems so not tested but there are private hospitals if needed (provide insurance). Water and food are not a problem either.

We spent 15 fabulous days in Namibia thanks to Echappée Australe who concocted us a circuit really made to measure, according to our desires and our constraints of time. Clement Pilchen the manager is very responsive and available, which is a real advantage in the development of the circuit, with relevant and almost instant answers to the many questions that we can have. The services were all of high quality: well-placed housing, vehicle perfectly adapted to the Namibian tracks which allowed us to carry out our 3500km in 15 days without any problem and in total safety (4x4, 2 tanks of gasoline, tank of water, 2 spare wheels, GPS, satellite phone, emergency kit ...). We can only recommend and we will not hesitate for a future trip to the area! In a word: you can go there with your eyes closed.

We had a great holiday with Echappée Australe. The discovery of the fauna, flora and landscapes of South Africa and a great experience offered by this agency.
