The CFE is a completely dysfunctional institution. Not only do they not answer the phone but they do not respond to registered mail addressed to them. More serious: they do not communicate or very badly with the mutuals, in any case mine: the MGEN SEM (Extra Metropolitan Section) which is no less dysfunctional than the CFE. These two organizations have undergone profound changes in the past year and it seems that they have still not settled between them and with other organizations (the National Health Insurance Fund and the CPAM of Indre et Loire to which the MGEN SEM in connection with the CFE outsources some files) the question of the roles devolved to each in the process of reimbursement. I have been waiting for several thousand euros in reimbursement of medical expenses in California and France for almost six months and my bills / care sheets have been sent back in all directions (in the United States, France, doctors, pharmacists, MGEN SEM ... CPAM Indre et Loire) in the biggest mess. The situation is so inextricable that I have no other choice today than to sue them ... CFE (and MGEN SEM) are hiding behind "computer problems". But do not be fooled! These are problems administrative law to which is added a processing of claims quite random by a multitude of agents uninformed of what is happening within their own organization ... Know that even if you manage to reach them by phone (I managed twice in two months by calling several times a day every day), you come across a call center that does not have access to your file and that, in any case, can NOTHING DO ... if not tell you that they will "report the problem". In other words, you are wasting your time.

A phone service almost unreachable, otherwise a dismal phone reception by sometimes unfriendly advisers, no replies to e-mails or letters, no satisfactory answers.
