Interesting and very helpful staff

The museum dedicated to the national gendarmerie and its history, dating back to the Middle Ages; and its evolution and the roles (not always glorious) that it was able to play in the history of France The exhibitions consist of a permanent component that recalls this history, and temporary exhibitions like the one on the occasion of the European Heritage Days 2020 dedicated to the place of the gendarmes in French cinema 👍👍👍👍👍 It should be noted that the permanent exhibitions are located on the 1st and 2nd floors, that the 3rd floor is dedicated to documentation (not accessible to the general public), and that the temporary exhibitions are visible on the ground floor. The different floors are accessed by stairs or by lift, making this museum accessible to people with reduced mobility (elderly or in wheelchairs), or to families with strollers. Watch out for bags and suitcases: they must be open at the entrance, security requires ☝️

Pleasant museum for families or couples.
