Very nice site Beautifully renovated church. interior to see small parking nearby for parking. watch out for a lot of one-way streets and rising
Paul Pérucaud (01/06/2020)
Listed in 1883, this church was built at the end of the 12th century and at the very beginning of the 13th century. Some modifications, opening of a bay on the west wall, vault of the nave, for example, will occur in the 15th or 16th centuries. The bell tower has not been touched up and bears witness to the original building. The church is well preserved, from the inside emanates a little mystery and the place lends itself well to privacy. The Romanesque architecture is visible, we notice, among other things, the impressive columns which separate the nave from the side aisles or the apse supported by buttresses. Modillions, grimacing and deformed faces, perhaps evoke those of patients suffering from adenitis, trying to heal thanks to the water of the miraculous fountain. The latter was supposed to treat this form of tuberculosis of the submandibular glands, or cervical lymphadenopathy, or scab, or scrofula.

Very old building. Interior a little mysterious like all the old churches. Outside with speakers and garden in the middle of which there are old graves. Too bad the engraved names are almost unreadable

The most beautiful Romanesque church in the region. Date of the 12th century.
