Zoological and Botanical Park of Mulhouse

Nice zoo with a good mix of European and endangered animals from around the globe in an nice garden/park setting. We where there with kids (3 + 6) and had lunch in the Auberge du Zoo which was outstanding (you need to reserve ahead). We spent totally 4 hours there.

I have been too several zoo's and this is definitely in the top 10 of small animal enclosures. Kind of sad and no happy animals

Animals in jail. So sad. They deserve be free and wild. We don't have right show them like figurines on exposition.

Limited view to animals, limited availability of toilets. Just one restaurant serving only junk food

My local zoo. I have an annual pass and go frequently because I like the park-with-animals feeling. Its surrounded by mature trees and gardens are professionally maintained. Lots of secret paths for my children to explore. Also a lot of endangered animals. Not the usual zoo.
