Place that has its place in the city and by its history, as the temple of the knights and all other religious community
It is the third synagogue built in Mulhouse.
The first was from the 14th century and was located rue du sauvage; the second dated from 1822, located in the Rue Sainte Claire; the third is built in 1848 and 1849 by the architect Jean-Baptiste Schacre.
An oratory and accommodation are added in 1880.
Restoration in 1950.
