Sunset House

Stayed for two nights and paid for the comfort room for two people. The room we hot was actually a suite with two bedrooms, sitting area and bathroom. Rooms were clean, comfortable and had that homely feel. The owners were lovely and welcoming. The facilities there include gardens and swimming pool as well as free WiFi and breakfast included. Breakfast was a self service buffet which was well stocked with a variety of products. All in all well worth the price we paid and we would definitely recommend and will likely return when we visit the area again. Thank you for a great stay. Rachael and Tom

After making the booking, I telephoned 4 or 5 times to confirm our arrival after we set out. The telephone was never answered. On arrival, the proprietors said they had no knowledge of a booking. They had one bedroom available but no possibility to provide any food except for breakfast. (I saw several trays of eggs in the kitchen but there was no offer of an omelette, for example. We were told we could find a restaurant by taking either of two roads in the village. This turned out to be untrue and after several kilometres, we asked in a bar and were informed that there were no restaurants in the village. We returned, reclaimed our luggage and one of the three staff lost her temper in a way that was extremely unnerving. I insisted in a refund and finally I received €60 back. They told me that they were closing the next day! Two hours later we were successful in finding another hotel.

Clean. Warm comfortable beds and a good breakfast. Kind helpful owners. Will come back again

Good reception, satisfactory bedding, nice decor, but little things to review such as the pool, the garden and fresh croissants in the morning
