The cave painting activity was a highlight, other participation was limited by Covid. There was a lot of investment in landscaping and interactive displays and less on experiences than expected. Reproductions of the inaccessible Niaux caves a bonus

Amazing, Be careful how you plan your day. I spent the whole day with 2 boys 5 and 9. The location of this museum is breathtaking, the museum is magnificient. no money spared. We spent 1.5 hours in the museum alone. the activities are superb( hunt and fire). The only drawback was the activities stop between 12h30 and 2pm. We are in France. During the lunch break, it is a good time of visiting the museum.

This is an excellent place to visit if you have any interest in prehistory. Apart from an amazing museum that makes good use of a range of audio visual techniques, there are several hands on activities such as spear throwing and cave art as well as demonstrations in tool and fire making. Our group of two adults and two children loved it. Four very well spent hours.

Certainly a lovely place in the area. I could recommend in for a visit with children hungry of knowledge or even those less enthusiastic about the world we live in and as it used to be. They would also find in an attractive venue to spend a day. Quite some selection of exhibitions and interactive workshops such as cave painting or hunting.

What a mamouth truck stop This was a prehistoric museum which has gone the way of the dodo, but is a make shift watering hole for ravenous raptors on their way to a weeks worth of skiing. The food though basic would satisfy a t-rex. The gaelic version off a chip butty ( the chip baguette) was a Jurassic portion, and satisfied my little pterodactyls.
