Good hire car experience, despite the 20 min wait at Lyon with only one person in front. Our car suffered a puncture and the call centre told us to drive to the nearest Enterprise without calling and they'd be obliged to replace the car, which is fine in theory except Chambery airport was just a portacabin and a single Corsa in the car Park, despite this they managed to eventually get us a car that would fit all our luggage a few days later. But overall it was very good, drop off was super efficient (4 mins!) and I was not charged for the damaged tyre. You often see negative reviews for car hire, it's really simple; take out a separate annual car hire excess insurance (Insurance4CarHire), decline everything, photo the car on collection (check spare tyre, window chips etc) and return with a full tank.

Complaint procedure is abysmal. Check your snow chain size! We were supplied with snow chains to get to the ski resort. However, we found that the chains were the wrong size, and were forced to abandon the car, take a taxi, buy some chains of the correct size, and miss half a day of skiing. On returning the car on 23/12/2017 the (admittedly polite and sympathetic) staff admitted the mistake but could not authorise a refund but took the chains for the subsequent rentals. Almost a month on and many many emails and phone calls there is still no refund. Customer service say the manager M. Schalkwijk can authorise the amount. M. Schalkwijk says only customer service can authorise it. Neither have, and I have neither my snow chains or my money. I work in a customer service industry and I am horrified by the approach of Enterprise / Alamo. On the whole I tend to disregard negative reviews as a result of personal friction, but this negative review is well deserved. I wish I could score zero.

FYI the vehicle has been kept for 1 day. He notices a spot of mosquito believing that it is a scratch the crest of the brand crack while the delivery man did not even notice. In short do not worry you are falling on much stronger than you and I think that the reverse of the scam is going to be hard for you. Avoid at all costs
