Hertz - Aix les Bains

Too bad we can't grant 0 stars because this is what they deserve as the office was simply closed when we got here to get our car. Even once we managed to get them over the phone, we were said they were closed on Saturday whereas the opposite is shown on the door (see the picture). Don't rely on them, go somewhere else.

I am not entirely happy with the service offered by this Hertz Office. I arrived at the office to find it unattended and I had to go to a hotel to collect my vehicle. I then get a vehicle with only 3/4 of a tank of diesel. The vehicle did suit our needs and then I filled up the vehicle as per the contract, so I was out of pocket as I had to fill up from the last user. I returned the vehicle to the hotel but was unable to manouvre the vehicle into the car spot provided...the hotel staff were not that helpful in the begining, the front desk staff at the hotel then said just park the vehicle out the front of the premises (which I did) the girl behind the counter was still not happy where I parked, finally the manager came out and took the keys to park the car. To future visitirs to Aix les Bain, I would consider AVIS as it appears they have more suitable allocated parking at the train station. I have not persued the matter of being out of pocket for paying for diesel not used by me, instead I chose to warn other users that this could possibly happen to them. This Hertz operator needs to make some business changes, like negotiating with another hotel like Ibis or Mercure where space is plenty to vehicles to park.

Disastrous experience. We booked a vehicle online for Friday evening to pick it up on Saturday morning. When we arrived at the agency, despite the clear indication of the opening hours on the glass door of the latter specifying that it was to be open on Saturday morning until noon, the room was locked and empty. We contacted the number on the door: no answer. We referred to the number of the hotel mentioned as the place of recovery and deposit of vehicles outside the opening hours of the agency (despite the fact that it had to be open). The receptionist told us that they did not have a reserved vehicle in our name and gave us a mobile number left by the Hertz agency in case of emergency. If there was no response, we left a voicemail message. About twenty minutes later, the owner of the cell phone contacted us again to tell us that he had received our message and that we could not do anything for us since the agency was closed. I told him that the times indicated on the door of the agency stipulated the opposite, just like the website used the day before to finalize the vehicle reservation. This person insisted by telling me again that the agency was closed and that he could do nothing for us. No solution was offered to us. We had to take a train and suffer a delay, despite being debited for the rental amount. Go your way!

Very badly received not only did I not receive my car, but the manager who was at the counter to raise the tone was aggressive and threatened to leave me, telling me that if I did not go out he would make me leave a plain himself is in progress .. In the meantime, I advise you not to come in personel aggressive unpleasant their boss from Chambéry who defends them without listening to it's own customers TO FLEE !!!!!!

SCAMMER AGENCY TO FUIR The boss is extremely rude and dishonest. No check is carried out between each rental: lights on, no coolant, and obviously no refueling so the bill is dirty if you do not realize it when you hand over the keys., it is a shame and not at all representative of other Hertz agencies. Prefer ADA to Aix les Bains, the service is much better.
