L' abreuvoir du château de Marly-Le-Roi

The Drinking trough built between 1696 and 1698 is the culmination of the series of water features, basins and fountains of the castle park of Marly, built by Mansart for Louis XIV. This piece of water, surrounded by walls and lined stone posts, is dominated by a massive masonry decorated with rock and shell of the Caribbean Sea. Restored for the first time in 1907-1911, the watering place was at the top in 2005 with, in particular, the restoration of the rockery.
