Food very honest and delicious with a focus on perking up old recipes (their rice pudding was praised by my convive). Small place, good feel. Wine selection probably full of surprises but we weren't blown away by the initial suggestion. Got one we were happy with afterwards though.

Excellent food and wine

The price versus quality of the cooking was disappointing. The entrée selection today was quite poor: building small dishes around an ingredient with interesting texture but flavourless may impress some of the regulars but certainly not me. I appreciated the concept behind some of the dishes, like the house's take on the Portuguese staple "bacalhau à bras", but the execution was rather uninspiring. Ingredients can be cheap in great meals - and they mostly were with the exception of the meats we had which were high quality and the fancy samphire/salicorne seaweed - but they need to be cooked with love in order to justify a significant price tag. The "tiramisu" would make an Italian cry. If you change the mascarpone for cream, forget about the liquor, the coffee and the cocoa, then you get a rather bland trifle. But "Rather bland trifle with two strawberries" doesn't make for a great entry in your menu. Great wine selection.

Amazing french bistro, very good natural wine selection and great atmosphere

Good cuisine, nice and really friendly service. However prices are quite high.
