🌟mus’X, the Ecole polytechnique museum is in the ground floor of the library and open from 9am - 5pm. You will see the history, founders, men and women, researchers and students of the school !

Superb museum proposing the past of the X in ultra modern showcases. When you have a past "hypotaupin, mole", we can not remain insensitive to the material used by our illustrious scientists. Moreover, belonging to the former Children of Troupe, I have just verified that Michel VIRLOGEUX, formerly of the Prytanée Militaire de La Flèche from 1956 to 1965 and former of the X from 1965 to 1967, had participated in the design of the viaduct of Millau. I suggested this fact to our guide at the museum, during the show organized by Mélodie des Fuseaux on 28/09/2019

Museum of the Polytechnic School retracing two centuries of history. Presentation of the instruments used by the students of the school that has existed since 1794. Free museum, and recent. Worth the detour.

Very well designed. Excellent presentations slides scrolling among the instruments of physics of the nineteenth century. Being passionate about history of science I would have liked even more information on scholars such as A-C Becquerel, Felix Savart, Berthollet, Malus ... but the space is not large and already profitable. The temporary exhibition on Monge does him honor (just a remark: there is much talk of his requisitions in Italy after the French victory but very little of his role in the establishment of the Republic of Italy). The press conference on the Nobel Prize in Physics 2018 just awarded to a researcher of the X (announced internationally one hour before my arrival) a stone's throw from the library-museum was a plus :)
