As far as zoos go...politics aside, this was good. Get popcorn and visit the giraffes! So cool.

The most expensive zoo in the world, with the most unhappy animals in the world. That's a résumé. When we arrived and the lady in the kiosk said 64 euro for me, wife and 5yr old I was properly shocked. Maybe it's just me living in a cave and being out of touch, but I suggested she'd pressed the wrong button, nope, I'd just made a wrong turn. There is then a clue as to the problems when they offer popcorn to feed the animals. Well, it works, you throw it in and they come over you get to be pretty close, but then you end up with the fattest, most out of shape, lazy beasts. Really sad to see bears begging for popcorn instead of hunting. Mostly (too) small enclosures, with little to no creature comforts (see what I did there!). Some are good but a lot are sad. Fun for a non paying kid, but leaves a nasty taste for any animal loving adult.

Very beautiful and nicely done zoo. My daughter really liked that you can feed almost all the animals. Some of the kennels seem to be rather small, the vast majority is really nicely made, though. The price seems a bit hefty, but you really can spend your whole day here. I can only recommend visiting.

Best zoo we have ever been too. Huge range of animals, almost every big cat species you can think of including white tigers and lions. Make sure you follow the feeding times and you will get some very close encounters including giraffes eating from your hands. A good 3-4 hour walk around to see it all.

Nice place. A little sparse, but OK. If you like a walk, you are in for a treat as it is a single route that you take around the place, so a good 2.5 hour walk at least. Take drinks around with you as the only refreshment stop is the cafe which is at the beginning of the route. Half way round there are toilets, but that is it
